Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing my fandoms and for writing for me! <3 I am academicgangster on Tumblr, and simplecoffee on ao3.

So, the thing I love most in fanfic is taking canon character dynamics and just...making them More. Taking them further, exploring their natural progression, in either a gen or a shippy way. I've mentioned the character dynamics and ships I love under each fandom, along with some rambly thoughts and prompts - speaking of which, please feel free to please feel free to pick, choose, mix, match, play with any, all or even none of said prompts, if that's where the muse takes you. <3

I also love hurt/comfort with all my soul, so most of the prompts here will probably contain it to some degree.

I am a-okay with any kind of exploration of character dynamics - h/c, casefic, fluff fic, angst, missing scenes, outsider POV, outsider POV contrasted with canon characters' POV, getting together fic, you name it I love it. I'm also very much okay with or without smut - I like it, but please don't feel pressured to include it or not to include it. If you do feel inclined toward the lovin', I have a preference for a Mature rating over an Explicit rating, but I will likely enjoy whatever rating speaks to you. :D

(Crossover prompts are tagged 'if you really, really love me', not because I want them more but because I know they take extra effort - please don't feel obliged or pressured to follow them, either! As with all the others, they are there in case they strike your fancy. <3)

General likes:
• Hurt/comfort of all stripes - sickfic, injuries, emotional h/c, all of it. (This is my favourite thing in all of fandom. Like, I absolutely live for it. ^^')
• Character studies, exploration of canon character dynamics, fallout of canon trauma
• PTSD, scars, illness messing with a character's grip on reality, combat/mission injuries, scars, old injuries acting up, touch starvation, sensory deprivation / sensory overload, characters not believing they deserve comfort or being surprised to receive comfort, selective mutism, hurting characters choking up at moments when they really need to speak (eg. leader unable to tell their worried team they're fine, submissive unable to safeword), stoic characters breaking down when faced with comfort, subdrop, characters bonding over trauma, characters so used to going through hell alone that they can't wrap their heads around someone wanting to help
• carrying, cuddling, characters wrapping ill/injured characters in soft blankets/clothes/their own jackets (especially jackets that are too big for them!), sweater paws, keeping characters warm, aftercare, forehead kisses, hands and touch
• Earned trust and casual intimacy (characters who know each other well or get to know each other well, clothes sharing, characters only allowing touch from people they trust, etc)
• Pain, bittersweetness, sadness, exploring the darker side and implications of canon is great, but I really need some happiness/comfort and hope along with it!

Sexual likes:
D/s overtones. Service subs. Subs With Issues. Praise kink. Hands, fingers, touch; touch starvation. Finger-sucking. Hair petting/brushing. Aftercare. Subdrop and recovery. Tenderness, especially if the person receiving it isn't expecting it, isn't used to it, and it breaks them just a little.
Marking - hickeys/bruising/bite marks; hiding the bruises under clothing. Scar worship. Suit/uniform kink. Partners reverently undressing each other. Wrists bound or held down. Honour bondage. Careful sex / making out when one partner is hurt or ill and feverish (fever sex is, uh, a Thing of mine). Gentleness, affection, emphasis on touch and texture/physical sensation (clothing porn is so very welcome!). Or rough, desperate, life-affirming sex/making out.

(In certain fandoms, I like the sex rougher, and have some thoughts involving non- or dubcon. There are prompts for those scenarios under those fandoms.)

General DNWs:
• Mundane/depowered/setting change AUs
• Bleak, hopeless endings (as long as there's hope, bittersweet endings are more than fine! Except for The Fugitive, in which I'd really rather everyone be definitely, unambiguously happy at the end, please. <3)
• Unrequested crossovers and fusions
• Non-canonical character death
• Canon rehash
• Terminal illness
• Gastrointestinal illness (nausea/vomiting is okay but not as a result of GI illness)
• Pregnancy, menstruation
• Kidfic
• Infidelity
• For The Fugitive, any mention of US Marshals canon

Sexual DNWs:
• Noncon or dubcon, except where noted
• humiliation as a kink, except where noted
• anal, dirty talk, spanking, ageplay, scat, watersports, rimming, emeto, A/B/O, d/s-verse, mommy/daddy kink

And now for some rambling about fandoms and character dynamics, lovely writer!

The Fugitive (1993)

Characters:
Sam Gerard, Richard Kimble, Cosmo Renfro (I'm okay with not including Cosmo, though I do love him and I'd love it if you did!)
Please don't consider US Marshals for the purpose of this request. 💛
Ships: Sam/Richard is my OTP to end all OTPs, but I enjoy them as friends too if that's what you'd prefer <3

Thoughts:
I love literally everything about The Fugitive, from Sam's, well, everything - his deep compassion, his love for his team of marshals whom he calls his 'kids', his love for coffee and doughnuts, his taking exception to words he doesn't like, his constant Sheer Drama - to Cosmo's trust in him while not taking any of his shit - to Richard's desperate determination, how well he and Sam are matched as foils, and how well they're clearly going to get along.
Both Sam and Richard show a marked tendency toward compassion and kindness as their default, helping people when they have no pressing reason to, caring for perfect strangers despite everything. This movie does not show you Thriller Protagonist Dudes pulling some macho shit; this movie shows you people saving people's lives with gentleness and care, handing over ice packs and warm jackets when they're needed, and sometimes smiling like the sun has broken through the clouds.

Prompts:

• Sam and Richard getting to know each other after the film, and slowly falling in love.
• Sam and Cosmo's friendship through the years. How long have they known each other? Did they meet at the academy? Please tell me about them being young and stupid together, and Sam being a nerd jock while Cosmo's a jock nerd, and both of them taking care of each other when they're injured, and generally having each other's backs and giving each other shit.
• Sam and Richard go their separate ways at the end of the film, then meet(-cute) again when Sam turns up injured at Chicago Memorial.
• Richard going to a team dinner with the marshals and getting to know Sam's kids, and therefore Sam as well. Maybe each marshal tells him something new about Sam he didn't know before.
• Sam/Richard soulmate AU! Do they have 'I didn't kill my wife' / 'I don't care' written on their arms? Do they see in black and white until they meet at Barkley Dam? Do they have black patches that turn iridescent when Sam first touches Richard - to unlock his handcuffs in the car at the end of the film?
• How do Richard's friends at the hospital react to him being friends with or dating a law-enforcement officer?
• one random night in Richard's dreams, instead of Helen, it's Sam who's hurt and dying. How does he cope?
• I always associate The Fugitive with autumn colours and flavours, so maybe just some cuteness with Sam and Richard drinking cinnamon-spiced coffee and making out in a library :D
• Anything exploring Sam's fairly evident (at least light) interest in fashion. He dresses so well and it's so good.
• if you really, really love me, perhaps a crossover with The Hunt for Red October, where Sam and Cosmo have to work with Ryan, maybe Mancuso, and possibly even Ramius to get something done or a case solved. I feel like those character dynamics could be incredible, maybe even more so if Richard is involved. :D

Oblivion (2013)
Characters:
Jack Harper 49 (I am also okay with any other Jack, from Jack 52 to Commander Harper, up to and including any original character Jack(s) your heart may desire.)
Ships: any Jack/any Jack, Jack 49/Vika 49 (dubcon as in canon, or complete noncon), Jack 49/Julia (kinda dubcon, as in canon)

Thoughts:

Jack 49 is a beautiful man who's had a lot of awful things happen to him. I imagine many other Jacks are equally lovely, and may have suffered just as much.
I love Vika as a character (Original Vika is such a lovely nerd!), but Vika 49 is not good to Jack 49; she canonically shuts him up by coercing him into sex, and by demanding that he kiss her, which he is clearly at least a little, possibly very, uncomfortable with. I really do think Jack is fond of her and into her, but he's also been subject to emotional abuse from her for nearly five years, and that takes a toll.
Julia has so much pain and trauma to deal with, being transplanted in time, learning her husband is dead, so it's easy to see why she was so eager to convince Jack 49 that he is the same as Commander Harper, even though he really isn't.

Prompts:

Pre-or during canon:

Jack 49/Vika: Vika (though it's clearly because she has issues of her own) is super controlling toward Jack. He can't tell her anything or talk to her about anything he does or finds or thinks about, because he knows she'll find something about it he 'shouldn't' be thinking or doing; he hides his book and his little forest getaway from her, no matter how badly he clearly wants her to share in them. When he tries, just a little, to get her to see his point of view, she panics and throws his flower away, and he looks so very miserable. In short, I don't think Vika really knows Jack at all - nor does she really know herself at all - and so their relationship ends up more or less inadvertently hurting him. I don't think Vika means to be cruel, but I think she kind of ends up being cruel sometimes anyway, and that's the dynamic I'd love to see explored between these two. Maybe Jack's sick or hurt, and Vika refuses to believe him when he tells her so, and insists on having rough sex anyway. Maybe they're having sex and she ignores him when he asks to stop, or ignores a safeword, and maybe that hurts him physically as well as violating his trust. Maybe she believes that for them to be an 'effective team', she needs to discipline him whenever he does something outside of routine. (Maybe he even liked that to begin with, as a roleplay of sorts, and later realized she didn't quite mean it as roleplay.) Maybe she gaslights him into believing he consented when he didn't. Maybe she's dismissive of his illness or pain or nightmares, but he lives for the few words of comfort she'll bother to give him because he knows it's the best he'll ever get.
(There are some Vika-noncons-Jack prompts in my Consent Issues letter, just in case you'd like to look.)

Jack 49/Julia: There's genuine feeling between these two, genuine memories, but those memories aren't Jack's own, and so Jack 49 has to come to terms not only with the fact that he's never been loved but that, to Julia, he's a replacement goldfish. There's a reluctance to him when she drags him to bed, a possible feeling that he's being used, and yet he goes along with it for the sake of feeling loved for that one night - and then he gives everything up so everyone but him can live. What's going through Jack 49's head when he's letting Julia love him? Is he desperately drinking in her touch, knowing it was never meant for him? Is he in denial? Half overwhelmed and wanting to stop, but also wanting to go on because he needs to comfort her and keep her safe and happy? Is Julia a gentler domme than Vika, and does it hurt that he never got to receive such gentleness before? Does it hurt that that gentleness was meant for Commander Harper instead of him? What about Jack 52, after the film - does he go through similar things?

Post-canon:
• If Jack 49 takes your fancy to write about, I'd love to see him get a happy ending, not die at the end of the film, learn to live again, find his own identity away from people like Vika and Julia who constantly expect him to be someone he's not. I'd love him to come to terms with the fact that Vika 49 was abusive, that what he knew as love from her was not real love at all, that regardless of what her own trauma was it didn't excuse what she put him through, and to maybe recover a little from the pain he suffered at her hands.
• I'd also adore it if Jack 49 found love with another Jack somewhere.
• I'd love some worldbuilding and exploration of the differences between the various Jacks - maybe a few are permanently injured even, and have (had) to learn to live with and make accommodations for their levels of ability. Maybe some Jacks and Vikas find each other and try to rebuild when the Tet comes down, and take care of each other when they need it.
• I imagine some Vikas may not have been as abusive as Vika 49, but it's also possible there are other Vikas who were worse. Maybe some Jacks stayed with abusive Vikas until they couldn't take any more. Maybe - an exception to the pregnancy/kidfic DNW - maybe there's a Jack/abusive Vika couple who had a child after the Tet fell, and the child was what made Jack realize he had to save them and himself and leave her.

Collateral (2004)

Characters:
Vincent, Max (I am okay with not including Max)
Ships: gen, Vincent/Max

Thoughts:

God these characters are so fucked up. Vincent is a terrible person, and yet you kind of feel for him; Max is a sad bean who never asked to be caught up in any of this, and yet somehow finds it in himself to be an absolute hero and kick ass. Please tell me more about these messed up people, especially about Vincent - I'm a-okay with including or not including Max. (If you do include him, I'm super okay with them getting it on in the most messed up ways.) I'm a-okay with fic set before the film, during the film, or after the film in a universe where Vincent doesn't die.

Prompts:

• Vincent's a dick, to put it mildly, but there's an angle or two from which he's...really fucking tragic? When you start to see him coming undone, you really see him coming undone. We know a few things about him - that he's been passed around between foster homes and an abusive dad, and that he was military or a military contractor before he became a hitman. Tell me about those things, about the core of humanity he used to have, or maybe still has somewhere and that surfaces at inconvenient times like that moment of eye contact between him and Max at the nightclub.
• Vincent survives the MTA, somehow, and eventually finds to his utter dismay that he's grown a conscience of some kind. It's not like, the greatest conscience, and he's good at stamping it down, but it's there and he hates it. Maybe while healing up and having these revelations, he receives a bunch of flowers identical to the ones he bought Max's mother. (Maybe it even comes with a card for the Island Limo Company.)
• Vincent And Max Getting It On In All The Rough, Fucked Up Ways, during or after the film. Maybe one or both of them are drugged or drunk or high, maybe Vincent's sick or injured so badly he's hallucinating and isn't sure Max is real. Maybe they use banging each other as an excuse to talk out or fuck out their various issues, like Max's with his limo company and Vincent's with his father. Vincent is definitely a masochist; maybe he's surprisingly eager to please, and Max uses that to get revenge for everything Vincent put him through in the film. Maybe he does that by hurting him, or maybe he does it by getting him to confess to (or just talk about) all the times he's been vulnerable in the past. Maybe Vincent's time in the military comes up, in a kinky context or an angsty, bitter context, or both. Maybe they walk away weirdly healed...or maybe just bleeding and ripped apart.
I'd like whatever they do to be more or less consensual, if not necessarily safe or sane - they could be drunk, drugged or (as mentioned above) Vincent may be hallucinating and not entirely conscious. I don't want either of them to hold disproportionate power over the other - as Max established in the second half of the film, the leash very much goes both ways. (Also Vincent is weirdly fucking principled for a hitman and I could see him as being laughably obsessed with consent, so make of that what you will.)

The Hunt for Red October (1990)

Characters:
Jack Ryan, Marko Ramius, Bart Mancuso (I'm okay with not including all three, as long as Jack is there!)
Ships:
Jack/Ramius, Jack/Mancuso, Ramius/Mancuso, Jack/Ramius/Mancuso
Please no infidelity! (I'd like it if Cathy and Jack were never married - they just didn't work out, or were just friends with benefits for a while, and live separate lives while amiably raising their kid together)

Thoughts:

I love this version of Jack Ryan so much! I love that he's a strategic expert and knows which hunches to play, but he's not a field agent and knows exactly Fuck All about field operations! I love every single character dynamic he has, especially the deeply promising ones he has with Ramius and Mancuso. I also love his backstory, his lingering PTSD and likely chronic pain from the spinal injury that ended his career as a Marine, and how he ploughs on regardless of how Very Much He Does Not Want To Be Ploughing On.

Prompts:

• Cold and damp are not great for old injuries and chronic pain, and Jack's had a rough few days. When the action is over and Jack stays on the Red October (and later at a CIA safe house) as Ramius' security detail/fanboy in residence, he tries his best to hide how much he's hurting, but Ramius (and perhaps Mancuso, too) sees right through him, and takes care of him as best he can with the Red October's medical supplies.
• Ramius and Mancuso bonding over submarine nerdery and naval expertise, and slowly falling in love.
• Jack and Ramius going fishing, and getting to know each other, perhaps eventually intimately well.
• Jack and Mancuso striking up an acquaintance outside of the mission, and perhaps eventually falling in love.
• Jack and Ramius, and perhaps Mancuso too, spending some time together in a CIA safe house before debrief, and getting to know each other.
• Ramius and/or Mancuso holding Jack's hand(s) on a plane.
• Ramius and/or Mancuso taking care of Jack with heating pads, medication and such, on days when his back bothers him more than usual.
• On a a cold and miserable day when Jack is hurting, Ramius coaxes him into a hot shower and cups his head against his shoulder while the warmth soaks into his back.
• Jack gets shot or otherwise badly hurt. Jack is not a field agent, was not on a field mission when he sustained the injury, and does not react to said injury like a field agent would. There's a great deal of medical trauma and pain, and Ramius and/or Mancuso are Absolutely Furious about it.
• if you really, really love me - I'd love a crossover with the Ocean's trilogy, in which Rusty Ryan is Jack Ryan's annoying little (half?)brother and causes him no end of trouble.

Ocean's Eleven Trilogy (Movies)

Characters:
Danny Ocean, Rusty Ryan, Reuben Tishkoff (I'm okay with not including Reuben if you like, though I do love him and I'd love it if you did!)
Ships: gen, Danny/Rusty
Please no infidelity - I'd like Danny to be loyal to Tess while he is married to her, and I'd prefer Rusty and Isabel to break up soon after Twelve or never to have got together at all.
If the fancy takes you, I would absolutely love Basher/Reuben as a background pairing. 💛

Thoughts:

I love the Ocean's trilogy for its unabashed, feel-good campness, its leaning into emotion and colour and vividness. I love the sense of camaraderie, I love how everyone gets along, and I particularly love Danny and Rusty's wonderful, intimate dynamic, where they barely have to start a sentence to know what the other is thinking. I love that Rusty's everything is so easily read as him pining for Danny, and that he's the quiet, constant kind of person who internalizes all his suffering while Danny talks and talks and is often oblivious to (or in denial of) both others' pain and his own.

Prompts

• Danny/Rusty as Angsty Exes Who Still Love Each Other, as in Danny broke Rusty's heart for Tess and that's why their first scene in Ocean's Eleven is so fraught with tension.
• Rusty being heartbroken when he sees Tess and finds out the Bellagio heist was always about her, because when Danny came to find him in LA, he thought it was Danny offering him the heist of his life to be romantic towards him. (And maybe it turns out that it secretly was.)
• Tess doesn't take Danny back at the end of Eleven. Danny and Rusty get together instead.
• Alternatively, Tess and Danny break up after Twelve, and Danny spends Thirteen pining for Rusty like Rusty's pined for him for all these years. How do they eventually get together then?
• Danny/Rusty over the years, as narrated by Reuben, who's known them since they were very small idiots.
• Rusty pining for Danny for years and years, while Danny blows hot and cold and sometimes kisses him like he loves him, sometimes comes to him with all his woes about women instead, sometimes goes wandering across the world, but always, always comes back to him. When does this reach a breaking point? Does Danny finally realize it's Rusty he loves? Does Rusty snap and try to date other people, only for Danny to take his turn at pining for a change?
• Danny's perspective on Rusty being his constant, pining for Rusty without realizing it, until he does.
• When Danny's sick or gets hurt on a job, it's always, always Rusty who takes care of him, always Rusty who knows how better than anyone else.
• When Rusty's sick or gets hurt on a job, he often hides it from everyone including Danny, and it's often Reuben who calls him on his bullshit and takes care of him instead. Danny has to learn how to take care of him (perhaps from Reuben, perhaps by observation and careful coaxing), and relearn it again whenever he's been away for a while.
• Rusty gets hurt protecting Danny, who has emotions about it.
• Rusty gets badly hurt while Danny's in jail, and finds his way to Reuben to get patched up and taken care of.
• Rusty and Danny first falling in love as dumb kids in their early twenties trying to make ends meet; Reuben being their supportive Rich Queer Dad.
• if you really, really love me, I'd love a crossover with Mission: Impossible! Danny and Rusty have a deep, nonverbal intimacy that is very similar to Ethan and Luther's, so I'd love them all to meet. Maybe the world-ending/world-saving MacGuffin of the moment for the IMF is something the Eleven have stolen, and they meet that way. Maybe they have to team up together to steal something instead. Maybe Danny and Rusty find Ethan alone and injured near a target they're casing for a job, and rescue him and patch him up a little and call Luther for him.

Under Siege (1992)

Characters: William Strannix, Commander Krill
Ships: gen, Strannix/Krill

Thoughts:
"What was that?" "A bomb, jackass!" - basically Strannix and Krill's entire dynamic, lol. These two are just utterly ridiculous garbage humans - they're the villains of their film, they are giant hams, they're completely fucked up, and it's hilarious and wonderful. Strannix is a former CIA agent who went mercenary after his own government tried to kill him, and Krill is a dissatisfied ship's XO who supports Strannix's crazy bid to hijack said ship for its nukes: the intriguing part is that while they get along like a house on fire, we're never told the why of Krill's support for Strannix at all. (...And so I'd like to believe it could be because he's in love with him. Occam's razor and all that. :'D)

Prompts:

• Tell me about Strannix's younger days in the navy, serving with Krill in Vietnam, why he quit earlier than Krill did, why he joined the CIA. Were they idealists, when they were young? (Maybe Krill still kind of is.) Was Strannix starting to develop hippie acidhead pacifist free-love tie-dye tendencies even while serving? Were there hints of darkness about him even then?
• Tell me about Strannix's days as a CIA agent in the 70s and 80s, doing badass suave spy stuff, saving the world, avoiding getting killed, kissing all the people regardless of gender. And maybe eventually...gravitating back to Krill.
• Krill being ridiculously in love with Strannix, while Strannix is oblivious for the longest time, and perhaps denies it even when he starts to realize it. For this pairing, I'm here for gloriously fucked up, twisted villain romance - as long as the affection between them is genuine. I see these two as sort of hopelessly unable to break out of their own cynical, manipulative worldviews, and therefore unable to express or even really comprehend that they could be in love - but in love nonetheless, which pisses them off. And they have no idea what to do about it, which also pisses them off.
So - what's their romantic dynamic like? When they served in the navy together, were they young and idealistic - or young and cynical, disillusioned with the government they work for, already thinking of ways to get their pound of flesh and walk away? Are they fuckbuddies who secretly, very secretly, yearn to be more? Do they pretend to hate each other, or sometimes acknowledge that they're friends? Does Strannix insist he's just using Krill for release, for leverage, for access to his ship? Does Krill insist he's not addicted to Strannix dominating him, pretend it wouldn't mess him up if he stopped? How long have they been in love and viciously denying it? Does the idea of feeling actual human affection horrify Strannix, or both of them? Hell, does Strannix know that Krill is in love with him, and use it against him as much as he can - until he realizes, with dawning horror, that he's fond of Krill too? Do they ever tell each other about their feelings, or do they just keep being stupid for the rest of their lives?
• What if Strannix and Krill survived the Missouri, and got to quit their jobs and retire somewhere / be gay and do crime together for the rest of their lives? I feel like they might turn into kind of a force for chaotic good when left to their own devices, only stealing and sabotaging stuff that belongs to rich and powerful evil folk.
• if you really, really love me, I'd love a crossover with Mission: Impossible - with a young Strannix, still kind of idealistic or maybe already starting to get bitter and jaded with the government he serves, dating a young and definitely idealistic Alan Hunley while they're both serving at the CIA.
• if you really, really love me, 2.0 - I'd love a crossover with Collateral, where Strannix and Vincent work a job together and maybe make out a little. (Maybe said job also involves Krill. Maybe the making out does, too. Vincent's probably a lot more submissive and masochistic than even Krill is, which should make that threesome fun.)

Once again, thank you so much for writing for me! I hope you have fun creating. 💛

Also, some extra fun stuff:
